Dave Cummings has joined Maxum Petroleum as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer reporting to Perot Bissell, Chief Executive Officer. He will be responsible for providing leadership to the IT organization on the strategic application and implementation of technology throughout Maxum.

Pilot Flying J (“Pilot”) and Maxum Petroleum (“Maxum”) are pleased to announce the closing of the acquisition of a controlling interest in Maxum by Pilot for cash and Pilot’s contribution of Western Petroleum LLC into Maxum.

Pilot Flying J, Metalmark Capital (“Metalmark”), Waud Capital Partners (“Waud”) and Maxum Petroleum (“Maxum”) today announced that Pilot Flying J will acquire a controlling interest in Maxum for cash and Pilot Flying J’s contribution of Western Petroleum into Maxum. Current investors, including Maxum management, Metalmark and Waud, will re-invest in the new venture.

Maxum Petroleum announced that George Ristevski, currently Sr. Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed President and Chief Operating Officer. He will continue to report to E. Perot Bissell, Chief Executive Officer.

Sean F. Orr has joined Maxum Petroleum as Sr. Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, reporting Perot Bissell, Chief Executive Officer.  He will be responsible for all financial matters related to the company, including accounting and control, financial planning and analysis, treasury, risk management and tax. 

Maxum Petroleum is pleased to announce that it has purchased Horne Oil Company. Based in Enid, Oklahoma, Horne Oil is a supplier of fuels, lubricants and related services to agriculture, drilling and exploration and other commercial customers in Northern Oklahoma and Kansas.

Maxum Petroleum is pleased to announce that it has purchased the assets of Barrie Hood Distributing, based in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Barrie Hood sells approximately 400,000 gallons of lubricants annually to commercial accounts in the Carlsbad area.
