Maxum Petroleum Exercises Final New Building Barge Option

Greenwich, CT, June 30, 2010 – Maxum Petroleum, Inc., today announced the exercise by its affiliate, Global Marine Transport (GMT), of an option to order a fourth barge from Trinity Marine Products . All four ABS ocean going barges will be US flagged, OPA 90-compliant, double hull with a total cargo capacity of 10,000 barrels each. The fourth and final in a series of new-buildings brings the total number of barges owned by GMT and chartered to Maxum Petroleum to ten, all deployed on the US West Coast from Seattle WA, to Los Angeles, CA.

Ms. Foxworth joins Maxum with over twenty-five years of experience in the energy sector, as well as substantial in house counsel experience, most recently as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for US Power Generating Company, a private equity company engaged in the acquisition, development and management of power generating assets in the US.

Steve Zirilli joins Maxum Petroleum as Chief Information Officer

March 15, 2010, Greenwich, CT. Steve Zirilli has joined Maxum Petroleum as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Prior to joining Maxum full time, Mr. Zirilli had been working with the Company since 2008 as a key strategic partner developing the technology strategy with a supporting business case to transition Maxum's operations to an integrated business model that will better enable scalability and drive operational and sales synergies across the Company through a standard ERP system. In his new role, Mr. Zirilli will assume primary leadership responsibility for the information technology function and to complete the implementation of Maxum's ERP platform.
